Rose Avenue

Rose Avenue is the label RÜFÜS DU SOL founded in 2018. Discogs puts it in one line, on both of its entries for the label: "Label founded and run by RÜFÜS DU SOL." the Apple Music curator bio for the label is the longer version, and reads in full: "Founded in Venice, California, by RÜFÜS DU SOL in 2018, Rose Avenue Records is home to electronic artists from all around the world, including Cassian, Lastlings, Colyn, Anyma, RONA., Township Rebellion, the founders themselves, and more." the first release was Cassian "Lafayette" on 4 October 2018, per Mixmag. where it lives depends on who you ask. Apple Music has it founded in Venice, California, the label's own Bandcamp reads "Los Angeles, California", and MusicBrainz files Rose Avenue Records under Australia, so three answers, and we print all three rather than pick one. the name runs two ways, both the label's own. "Rose Avenue" is what Beatport uses and what Discogs calls "the commonly used label name", and "Rose Avenue Records" is on its Bandcamp and its Apple Music page, with a second Discogs entry filing it as "the full company name". Deezer splits it three ways, "Rose Avenue Records" on 70 albums, "Rose Avenue/Reprise" on 44 and plain "Rose Avenue" on 30, and Beatport keeps three separate label pages, one per name. the third name covers the records that carry Reprise beside Rose Avenue, RÜFÜS DU SOL's "Inhale / Exhale" (October 2024) among them. no source states the business relationship, so we say the two names share those releases and nothing more. some recent releases are distributed by Stem, Amour Propre "Global Vision" (2025) among them. the website Discogs still lists no longer leads to the label, so there is no website link here. the label's only self-description is its SoundCloud bio, "A record label", so we don't tag a genre.

asked by Acid Stag in November 2018 why the band had started a label, James Hunt credited Sweat It Out and ODESZA's Foreign Family with giving RÜFÜS DU SOL a platform early on, and the rest of his answer is the quote below. the founders' own records run through the catalogue. their album "Solace" (2018) came out here, the Solace remix volumes started the same year, the "Solace Remixed" campaign followed in 2019, and "Inhale / Exhale" (October 2024, on Rose Avenue and Reprise) got two remix volumes of its own in 2025. Lastlings' second album, "Perfect World", landed in June 2023. Rose Avenue Compilation, Vol. 1 came out on 4 August 2023, and we found no second volume. the series is Rose Ave Radio, RÜFÜS DU SOL's mix show, kept as a set on the label's own SoundCloud. the latest numbered episode we can see is 022, from 25 July 2023, then an Enamour takeover on 23 August 2023, and the show looks quiet since. on the party side, Resident Advisor lists "Rüfüs Du Sol presents Rose Avenue Records Showcase" at Club Space, Miami, on 21 March 2023. the newest release we can see is Samantha Loveridge "Moon Child EP" (24 October 2025), and nothing newer has come out on the imprint in 2026 that we can see, so the label has been quiet this year.
