RÜFÜS DU SOL

🧃 vibes sydney melodic house, played live

three of them, out of sydney since november 2010. Tyrone Lindqvist on vocals and guitar, Jon George on keys and synths, James Hunt on drums, though they swap in the studio. they were just RÜFÜS at home. a trademark problem in america made them RÜFÜS DU SOL there in 2014, and they took the longer name worldwide in 2018.

Atlas went straight to number one in australia in 2013. Bloom in 2016, out on ODESZA's Foreign Family Collective, is the one that travelled. they started Rose Avenue Records in 2018, named after the house near venice beach where they lived and made Solace.

they won the grammy for best dance recording in 2022 with "Alive", and have been nominated five more times, most recently in 2026 for Inhale / Exhale.

Our show is a spectacle. It's a live experience and there's humanity in it. There's human error. From night to night, the performance might be slightly different.

james hunt, los angeles times, 15 august 2025

last august they filled the rose bowl with around sixty thousand people, the first electronic act to play it. in december they were handed a plaque for the highest-selling electronic tour ever recorded. in 2026 they did four nights at madison square garden, and five at the kia forum land across august, every one of them still to come.

When we write music, we aren't necessarily thinking about a vocalist or specific aesthetic. We're searching for a feeling.
