Steffen Berkhahn, known as Dixon, and Âme — Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer — founded Innervisions in Berlin in 2005, growing it out of Dixon's earlier Inner City parties in Kreuzberg, the name doubling as a nod to the Stevie Wonder album the room loved. the label's own legal paperwork lists Beyer as "Kristian Rädle," a variation Discogs' own artist data and the German commercial register both confirm is the same person, his press credit stays Beyer. today the curatorial call sits with a pool of four, Dixon, Beyer, Trikk and Jimi Jules, and needs three of the four to back a release, while Wiedemann's own A&R role has receded since he stopped DJing in 2010. Michael Quack runs the label day to day as General Manager.

the earliest catalogue release we can pin is Tokyo Black Star's "Psyche Dance EP," printed on its own sleeve as INNERVISION01, singular, a one-time typo Discogs' release note documents directly, out 4 July 2005. Âme's own "Rej EP" followed that September as IV02 and is the release most often credited with making the label's name. it ran as a Sonar Kollektiv sub-label until Stefan Goldmann's "Sleepy Hollow EP" (IV08) marked its independence in September 2006, the same year the GmbH was formally incorporated. "Secret Weapons," the label's long-running compilation series, launched with IV10 in 2007 and was still going in 2026 with its 18th installment. Âme's debut album "Dream House" arrived in 2018, and the label's 100th release, Âme's "The Witness EP," shipped in 2021 with an accompanying NFT collection. Innervisions marked its 20th anniversary through 2025 with events in Barcelona, Los Angeles, Berlin's Berghain and London's fabric, and the label still runs a monthly residency, INNERVISIONS ÜBERALL, on NTS Radio.
