yamagucci is an israeli and japanese dj and producer working out of tel aviv. he came up in an artist village in a musical family, and the sound he built from that is melodic and organic house with field recordings and hand percussion sitting high in the mix. every bio written about him lands on the same word for it, funky, which is not the usual note in a lane that often takes itself very seriously.

I was born to a musical family. My grandfather was the conductor of the philharmonic orchestra in Israel and my father builds and plays drums.

his first single, Sonar Waves, came out on disco halal in 2020. the debut album Baba Yoga followed on adam ten's maccabi house on 19 august 2022, eight tracks with guest turns from adam ten, millero and dor danino. since then he has put records out through crosstown rebels, nervous, rumors, gardens of babylon, collecting dots, anims and insomniac's in / rotation.

the biggest look so far is his remix of Monolink's Beacon, out on embassy one on 13 february 2026. beatport's editorial site read the rework as bouncy percussion and bright melodic accents over a lighter, disco leaning edge, which is a fair description of what he does to a song written for open air.

2026 has been a steady year on record. My Killers with omri. landed on collecting dots on 12 june 2026, and Mumbai Taxi with darco 09 arrived on anims on 17 july 2026. before those, Miami Mami went out through in / rotation on 30 september 2025.

he headlined public works in san francisco on 28 may 2026. in august 2026 he joins channel tres on the opening two dates of the enigma tour, at the sound in del mar, california on 28 august 2026 and the van buren in phoenix, arizona on 29 august 2026. both are support slots, not headline billing.
