Stil Vor Talent

Stil Vor Talent brands itself with a lowercase "vor," though Discogs, Beatport and Deezer all render it "Stil Vor Talent" with a capital V, we're using the capitalized style here and noting the label's own lowercase preference. Oliver Koletzki founded it in september 2005 (a separate Resident Advisor page for Koletzki himself says october 2005, a small discrepancy we haven't resolved), after being rejected from his school choir as a child and deciding to make it on style instead, which is where the name comes from. he pressed "Der Mückenschwarm" to vinyl that year and hand-distributed five copies to German record stores; Sven Väth bought one, played it on tour and put it out himself on Cocoon Recordings, not on Stil vor Talent, and it became the best-selling German dance record of the year, funding the label that followed.

the label is genuinely co-founded and co-run, not solely by Koletzki as the wall previously had it. Slawjana Ulrich holds the title Co-Founder & Co-CEO per her own LinkedIn, and Stil vor Talent GmbH's own legal imprint page lists both of them as managing directors. it's based in Berlin, registered in Charlottenburg. Discogs carries four related entries, 46433 is the main label used here, 1322467 ("Berlin") and 134869 ("Digital") are genuine parent-linked sub-imprints of the same GmbH, and 883417 ("Edition Stil Vor Talent") has an unconfirmed relationship we're not asserting. a rumored connection to Ki Records was checked specifically and found to be nothing, the two are unrelated. 6 artists we track have confirmed releases here, listed below, above the wall's earlier hand-tallied figure of 5, and that's a confirmed floor rather than a full sweep of its roughly 689-artist roster.

notable releases include Lützenkirchen's "3 Tage Wach" (SVT019, 2008), a German chart hit later licensed to Universal, "Stil Vor Talent 100" (SVT100, 2013), "20 Years of Stil vor Talent" (SVT397, 2025) and Koletzki's own album "12" (SVT411, 2026). the label runs its own "SVT Podcast" on its soundcloud and mixcloud, at least 146 numbered episodes as a confirmed floor, the true current count wasn't resolved. it's also a working booking agency and artist-management operation since 2010, runs a physical HQ and retail store in Kreuzberg, Berlin, and has a real merch line, Stil vor Talent Fashion, not a separate company. the label states an explicit commitment to a 50/50 gender split on its roster, and is marking its 20th anniversary as of this writing.
