Solotoko

Sonny Fodera and his wife Amber Fodera (born Amber Stone) conceived Solotoko in Ibiza in 2017 and both still run it as directors of Solotoko Limited, the UK company behind it, per Companies House records showing no resignations since incorporation. that company wasn't formed until 14 Oct 2019, about a year and a half after the label's actual first release, so we're keeping the founding story and the paperwork date separate rather than treating them as one event. CID has released on Solotoko many times but never founded or owned it, worth stating plainly since it gets blurred elsewhere, and Sonny Fodera's own Wikipedia page misdates the label's start by citing a Billboard piece that's actually about an earlier, separate Fodera label called AARRIVAL, not this one.

the label's own history names "Moving Up," a Sonny Fodera and MANT collaboration, as its debut release, out 9 Feb 2018 as SOLOTOKO002 with early support from Calvin Harris. Fodera's own albums have carried the catalogue since, "Rise" in 2019 and "Wide Awake" in 2021 among them, but the label's biggest moment by far is "Somedays," a 2024 single with Jazzy and D.O.D. that hit UK Singles #5 and UK Dance #1, went double platinum in the UK and Australia, and picked up a BRIT Award nomination for Song of the Year in 2025, reportedly the only independent release nominated in that category that year. a "Solotoko Drops" VA compilation series and a "Sonny Fodera presents Solotoko Radio" mix show both ran for a defined stretch, 2018 to 2021 and 2019 respectively, and neither shows signs of continuing past that window.
