Shaded grew up in newport beach and works out of los angeles. he plays live rather than djing in the usual sense, and the sound sits between chunky techno and funk, more southern california than berlin.
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. So if you are always ready, you don't got to get ready.

he has been at this a long time. Gender Bender came out on dubfire's sci+tec on 13 november 2014, and there is a stretch of records either side of it on tiga's turbo, on oliver huntemann's senso and on hot creations.
the run that matters most for a groovesmaxxing reader is the dirtybird one. Salmon with black v neck and andra g. landed on 21 november 2025, then Spiraling with ardalan, life on planets and black v neck on 16 january 2026, Bell Ringer on 27 february 2026 and Dance 4 Me on 22 may 2026.
his insomniac record is Oscillate, made with harvard bass and put out through IN / ROTATION on 27 may 2025. his newest is the No Brakes All Cake ep, released 10 july 2026 on trick.
he worked hard in 2026 without publishing much of a calendar. he played club vinyl in denver on 9 may 2026, soundbite studios in los angeles on 12 june 2026, and cooks valley campground in piercy, california on 17 july 2026 for dirtybird campout at northern nights. no upcoming bookings are published on his own site, his RA page or anywhere else that could be checked.
