Make The Girls Dance Records is the label and the party of HUGEL and Juany Bravo. the label's own youtube says the two of them founded it in 2021, and it tells the name story too. during a residency in the south of france, a club owner told HUGEL "If I don't see the girls dancing, we have a problem." the name was out in the world before the label, on his summer tour mixes in 2019, his radio shows in 2020 and a run of vinyl tv show sets in early 2021. catalog number one, "Agua Bendita" by Mark Di Meo with Mathieu Ruz and Diana Delgado, came out on 15 september 2023.
the motto, on its soundcloud and its youtube: "Don't do it for the money. Do it for the Latinas." the sound is afro house, afro latin and latin house, and the soundcloud bio pitches the a&r as "depth over volume". the volume showed up anyway, 135 soundcloud uploads in 2025 alone. it's a working label with other people's records on it, Tom Enzy, GROSSOMODDO, Juany Bravo and Eran Hersh among them. the big swings: "Jamaican (Bam Bam)" by HUGEL and SOLTO, a co-release with MoBlack Records in november 2025 that hit number two on beatport's overall chart, then HUGEL's debut album Twenty One in june 2026, "Temptation" with Bryson Tiller in july and "Bad Bitch" with Sexyy Red and Gatano in august. when "Loosen Up" came out in 2025, the label threw an open remix contest with a real release as the prize, and HUGEL said what that record meant to him.
