MADMINDS is Layton Giordani's label, out of New York City, and it is new. Armada Music's newsroom announced it on 26 August 2025 under the headline "Layton Giordani unveils New York-based label MADMINDS", and the first release followed on 5 September 2025: Green Velvet & Layton Giordani "When It Kicks", catalogue MADM001. the label's own SoundCloud bio puts it in one line, "NYC Record Label Founded by Layton Giordani", and its YouTube channel carries the same words. Armada Music is the partner. Giordani, in that announcement: "Teaming up with Armada Music to create MADMINDS at this moment felt very natural and in sync with where I'm at in my career". the name is all caps on Beatport, on the SoundCloud account and in Deezer's label field for its releases, and that is how we print it. Discogs files it as "Madminds", with an empty profile and six releases listed so far.
on the sound, the label's own words do the work. Giordani's launch post, as Beatportal reported it on 8 September 2025, called it "A New York-based house and techno label at heart, reaching to unlock and innovate our music", and that is where the house and techno tag above comes from. the Armada announcement adds a line of its own: "Giordani envisions the label as a home for brilliantly unconventional minds, the kind that are wild, exciting, and unapologetically original." that is Armada's sentence, not a quote from him. the catalogue is a year old and runs like this: after "When It Kicks" came Layton Giordani, GENESI and Be No Rain "Call You Back" (MADM002, October 2025), then in January 2026 Tiga "Mind Dimension (Adam Sellouk Remix)" (MADM004) and a "When It Kicks" remix package with remixes by SCRIPT and Rebūke (MADM005), then Patrick Topping, Layton Giordani and Kosmo Kint "Tonight" in June 2026. the newest release is Nicole Moudaber "Body and Soul", a single from 4 September 2026.
there is no series or show yet. no podcast, no radio show, no mix series on the label's accounts, and the one set on its SoundCloud is the HILLS "Right Now" EP, a release rather than a series. the first label-branded party is on the calendar though: Resident Advisor lists "Layton Giordani presents MADMINDS" for Saturday 14 November 2026 at Russell Industrial Center, Detroit, promoted by Paxahau. it has not happened yet.
