Eastenderz was founded in london in 2014 by East End Dubs, a stage name. the legal entity behind it, Eastenderz Ltd, wasn't incorporated until 9 may 2018, four years later (UK Companies House #11351702), and its registered office in Farnborough, Hampshire reads like a formation agent's address rather than the label's real base, every other signal we found points to London. it's both a record label and a live-events and party brand under the same name and team, Resident Advisor tracks the two as separate entities, a label page and a promoter page. by 2024, press describes "the Eastenderz team" running it collectively, though East End Dubs remains the named founder and its figurehead.
the label's own about page puts it this way: "with over 90 releases and a global event series spanning London, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Miami and beyond, the Eastenderz has cultivated a dedicated following through its signature rolling grooves and cutting-edge selections. spearheaded by East End Dubs, the brand has continuously championed both established and emerging talents. born from the sell-out Eastenderz parties in fabric, Studio 338, and E1 London, demand quickly saw the brand expand across Europe." it was voted Best Club Event at DJ Mag's Best of British Awards 2024, an events-brand award, not a label award, worth keeping that distinction straight.
its sound sits in house, minimal and deep tech, Beatportal places it in its "Minimal / Deep Tech" genre category in both its 2023 and 2024 year-end charts, ranking it #3 on its "Top 10 Best-Selling Minimal/Deep Tech Labels" list for both mid-2023 and full-year 2024, and #5 on its "Most-Streamed" list for 2023. two sublabels run alongside it, Belief (deep/tech house, launched 2023) and East End Edits, a vinyl-focused, often-anonymous edits imprint, both worth keeping distinct from the main label. "Eastenderz" is also a real search collision with "EastEnders," the long-running BBC soap opera with no Z, and East End Dubs (the founder), Eastenderz (the label) and East End Edits (the sister imprint) are three closely named but distinct things tied to the same person. 11 artists we track have released on it, a confirmed floor rather than a full sweep of a catalogue past 60 releases: Alisha, Chris Stussy, Dennis Quin, Julian Fijma, Max Dean, Oden & Fatzo, Rossi., Sidney Charles, Sosa, Stef Davidse, Toman
"We are on our 10th release now and every record is special to me. I do believe in every artist I work with. Eastenderz sound is ever evolving and I love that, it's what makes the journey interesting."
