Drumcode is the Swedish techno label Adam Beyer founded in 1996. the label's own site puts it in two sentences: "Drumcode Records is a Swedish techno label managed by Adam Beyer. The label was founded in 1996 and has enjoyed a streak of success in its releases, talent scouting, radio efforts, and general international label camaraderie ever since." Resident Advisor keeps it shorter, "Techno label run by Adam Beyer.", with the country as Sweden and established 1996. the Discogs profile opens with "Swedish label managed by Swedish DJ & producer Adam Beyer, founded in 1996." and goes on to say the label started out as a mostly Swedish techno concern, with local colleagues such as Jesper Dahlbäck, Cari Lekebusch, Thomas Krome, Fredrik Almquist and Joel Mull among its early names. the name comes in two forms, both the label's own. "Drumcode" is what Beatport, SoundCloud, Resident Advisor and Discogs use, "Drumcode Records" is what the label's site copy and its Bandcamp use, and Discogs keeps "Drumcode Records" as a parent entry above the main Drumcode page. one label, two forms of the name. the base is Sweden by every source we have, the label's own "Swedish", Resident Advisor's country field and Discogs, and none of them names a city, so we don't either. the first release is Adam Beyer & Lenk "Drumcode 01" (1996) per Discogs, and 2026 is the label's thirtieth year, which its site marks with "DRUMCODE MALLORCA 30 YEARS OF DRUMCODE".
Discogs lists four sub-labels, A-Sides, DCLTD, Gainlane and The Remixes, and its "Drumcode Records" parent entry adds Code Red and Drumcode Collection. DCLTD, Drumcode Limited, was relaunched in 2021 as a vinyl-only outlet for darker, harder techno. releases on any of those do not count toward the roster here. the label calls itself a techno label, so we tag it one. Adam Beyer's own line on how he wanted the label seen comes from Beatportal, which made Drumcode its Label of the Month on 9 June 2020 in a piece by Ben Jolley, and it is the quote below. the series are two. A-Sides is the yearly various-artists compilation, filed by Discogs as a sub-label of its own even though its volumes carry Drumcode DC catalogue numbers, and A-Sides Vol. 14 arrived in December 2025, curated by Adam Beyer from that year's demo submissions. Drumcode Radio Live is the weekly radio show. its current set sits on Adam Beyer's own SoundCloud rather than on a label account, and a recent episode, DCR837, went up there on 18 August 2026. a separate Drumcode Radio Live account does exist on SoundCloud, but its last upload was DCR181 on 24 January 2014. on the catalogue, after "Drumcode 01" there is Cari Lekebusch "Bråkstake" (1997), which Adam Beyer picked among the label's best early tracks, and much later Adam Beyer "Explorer Vol. 1" (DC329, 2025), described on Beatportal's label page as his first solo album in over 20 years.
a few notes on the names. two are here as remixers: Odd Mob on "Simulator Remixes" (DC307, 2024) and "Drumcode Presents: 2024" (2025), and Will Clarke on an A-Sides Vol. 8 track (DC211, 2019). Marco Carola's credits are remixes as well, on "Being And Becoming Ltd" (DC24,5, 2002) and "Stand Down" (CRCD01, 2008), and Joseph Capriati has one on "Remainings III Remixes" (DC60, 2009) next to his own "Sidechains / Kontrol Room" (DC53, 2009) and "Iron Pump / Black Line" (DC53.5, 2009). a good few rest on the compilations. the A-Sides volumes carry Drumcode DC catalogue numbers, so they count as Drumcode releases even though Discogs also keeps an A-Sides sub-label entry: Sidney Charles on A-Sides Vol. 3 (DC142, 2015), Layton Giordani on A-Sides Vol. 5 (DC159, 2016), Jamie Jones on A-Sides Vol. 8 (DC211, 2019) and Eats Everything on A-Sides Vol. 9 (2020). the DC4 compilations hold Adam Sellouk and Roddy Lima, both on DC4 Vol. 3 (DC344, 2026), and Rafael Cerato on DC4 Vol. 5 (2026). Tini Gessler is on "Drumcode Presents: Elevate" (DC277, 2023). Alok is here for "Lazer Beams (Alok Edit)" (2026), his edit of Green Velvet's "Lazer Beams", while Green Velvet's own releases here are "Mentalizm" (DC188, 2018), "Space Date" (DC193, 2018) and "Space Date Remixes" (DC207, 2019). Tiga is here for "Let's Go Dancing" (ARMAS2930, 2024) with Layton Giordani and Audion, which Discogs lists as a joint Armada and Drumcode release. HNTR is on "Hypnotic (feat.
