Descending Order

Descending Order is Cristian Viviano's label. resident advisor's biography of him says he founded it in 2011, and the first catalogue number, DIO001, his own "As Old As Young", followed in 2012. the label's contact page still lists him as label head and a&r, with Kamika Marie on bookings and Dario Assenzo on licensing. it is seventy two catalogue numbers deep as of september 2026.

the label's own copy never names a genre. it talks about music as the ambassador of an alternative reality ruled by love and creativity, which tells you the mood and nothing else. the tags do better. discogs still files it as house and deep house, but every 2026 release on the label's own site is tagged indie dance, and the catalogue filter offers afro house, nu disco, minimal deep tech, tech house and techno on top of that. the records that travel are the ones other people play. "Baziman" by Darco arrived on 19 september 2025 and the label's news page logs BLOND:ISH playing it at pacha ibiza, then ANOTR, HUGEL and WhoMadeWho. the Dunmore Brothers' "Smoke" followed on 21 november. the label says Pete Tong took that one to bbc radio 1, which is the label's own claim and not something we could confirm anywhere else.

Everything I do for the label, I put love and passion into it. Our first goal, which was to be played globally and see people enjoying our sound, we have already achieved. Running a label takes time and sacrifice sometimes. I’ve been working also during the night when my children are deeply sleeping.
