CONFESSION

CONFESSION is Tchami's label, announced 17 november 2015 and founded by him solo. we're correcting the wall's old copy here, no source names Malaa as a co-founder. he's the label's most prolific artist by far, with 32 or more releases, and he and Tchami are also both members of a separate touring DJ collective called Pardon My French, alongside DJ Snake and Mercer, which is not the same thing as this label and shouldn't be conflated with it. the first release was ANGELZ's "Hey Girl" on 18 november 2015, and the first catalogue-numbered release was Tchami's own "The After Life EP" that december (cat. 808391007949). Tchami still runs it today, with what DJ Mag described in 2020 as "a small team," no other individual named as a co-runner.

the label launched into what 2015 to 2017 press called future house, and has genuinely drifted since, Beatportal and EDM.com pieces from 2023 to 2025 increasingly describe it as bass house or just heavier house, so we're naming both eras rather than picking one tag. it doesn't have a settled tagline, Beatport's own meta description for the label page is generic platform boilerplate rather than anything the label wrote, so we're not quoting it as one. the label runs a recurring various-artists compilation called "Discothèque Records," confirmed through at least Vol. 3, and its own Linktree currently points at Vol. 7, though we couldn't confirm the dates on everything between. a "10 Years Of Confession" anniversary compilation followed in 2025, tied to a Paris event that july.

"Confession" is also a very common word, more than fifty unrelated Discogs entries share it, and confession.bandcamp.com belongs to an unrelated Lithuanian death and thrash metal band, not this label, which has no Bandcamp presence we could find.
