cave studio are an italian duo working the seam between nineties hip hop samples and tech house. the name misleads on purpose or by accident, it is not a recording studio and it is not a label. it is two people who have never put their own names in public, on any platform or in any interview that has been published.

their way in was confession, the label Tchami founded in november 2015. cave studio turned up on the alchemy 4 compilation on 15 february 2019 and kept coming back, through Physical on 23 august 2019, Bra on 14 august 2020, Movin on 8 october 2021 and Insane on 18 august 2022.

terminal underground gave them their most durable record. Shake The Dice arrived on 19 november 2021 as part of the Street Craps EP, and the label brought it back on 9 june 2023 with a remix package from subshift, heider and peace maker!.

on 28 february 2025 they released Playboy with San Pacho on catch and release. the label spread either side of it is unusually wide for a duo this size, hellbent records, wrong., divided souls, thrive music, breakaway and hood politics records all inside eighteen months, plus insomniac's in / rotation going back to the Dark Side EP on 16 february 2021.

live, the run is documented and the diary is not. they played the tent stage at nameless festival in italy on 2 june 2023. edm.com reported on 1 april 2026 that they had made their us debut at club ego in las vegas and taken a headline set at bootshaus in germany before playing breakaway's first miami music week brunch at the dilido beach club. shotgun lists a further miami music week set at over under on 27 march 2026. no upcoming bookings are published on any of their channels, and they have no resident advisor page at all.
