Martin Bresso was born in the southwest of france and moved to the edge of paris at eight. the name was given to him by an older woman he met on a trip to cameroon.
in 2013 he needed a word for a remix he had made of Janet Jackson and typed "future house" into soundcloud. the word stuck to a whole scene. he has spent the years since gently refusing to own it.
I said 'future house' because I wanted to describe it as a type of house music that hadn't been invented yet.

in march 2026 he wiped his instagram and announced he was retiring the priest collar and the church imagery that had defined him for a decade. the first record of whatever comes next was "cry for me" with Poo Bear in may.
