Simon Franks and Tom Dinsdale formed audio bullys in london in 2003. dinsdale learned to dj as a teenager, buying hardcore, jungle and drum and bass records from slammin' vinyl in kingston.

their debut album, Ego War, came out in 2003 and reached number 19 on the uk albums chart. its lead single, We Don't Care, reached number 15 on the uk singles chart in january of that year.

their best charting single is Shot You Down, featuring nancy sinatra, which reached number 3 on the uk singles chart in 2005, the same year their second album, Generation, reached number 33 on the uk albums chart.

after a long gap, the duo returned in september 2023 with As We Step, built around a re-recorded franks vocal over a sample of a 1991 rave record. since then they have shown up as guest vocalists on other producers' tracks, including Different Side with Michael Bibi and KinAhau in 2023, and London's On Fire with Chris Lorenzo and Max Styler in 2025.
