Thrive Music

Thrive Music is Ricardo Vinas's Los Angeles label, running since the late 1990s. its own soundcloud bio, its website, and Music Week all put the founding at 1998, and Vinas is named "CEO and Founder" of the label in that outlet. Wikipedia dates it a year earlier, 1997, citing a Billboard trade item that year announcing the label as a joint venture with Sire/Warner Bros. we're printing both rather than picking a side, since the label's own current channels say one thing and a contemporaneous 1997 trade citation says another.

in october 2025 the label launched a new club-focused imprint, HOUSE RULES, debuting with BOLO THE DJ's "Like a Cholo." the label's own launch statement, run identically by Beatportal and EDM Identity and credited to the label team rather than to Vinas by name: "it's about feel, not format. great dance music doesn't need to fit inside a formula." the label's catalogue also carries a real Grammy-circuit run, ACRAZE's "Do It To It" (feat. Cherish) passed 8.4 billion combined streams before Capitol signed him directly in partnership with Thrive in june 2022, and its back catalogue includes the film scores for Pi, Memento, and Thomas Bangalter's solo score for Irreversible.
