"Faded" broke the anonymity anyway. number three in the uk, number one on the us dance club chart, and a grammy nomination for best dance recording in 2015. he has a harder techno alias, BLACKLIZT, which is now also the name on his label.

Music is emotion first, so if it doesn't make you feel something immediately, then I usually go away from it and come back later.

in january 2025 the palisades fire took his neighbourhood and left his house unlivable. he wrote and produced the next album on the road instead, out of a sprinter van, crossing the country with no studio and reaching out to collaborators online. that record is BLACK MIDAS, out in april 2026, with a deluxe in july.

In the beginning my music was intended for the dancefloor, and was the clubby part of my sound. For me, BLACK MIDAS is a return to why I first made music.
