tough art is a brazilian duo working out of são paulo. their own soundcloud page describes the project as two djs and producers moving between tech house, house and techno.

the catalogue reaches back to 2015 and most of it sits with brazilian and european club imprints. eatbeat records, music is blaah!, baikonur recordings, be one records, la pera records and klaphouse records carry the bulk of it, with a long line of compilation slots either side.

the record that travelled furthest is Joker. it went out on repopulate mars on 24 april 2020, credited to gabe and tough art, and the release carries a Vintage Culture remix of the title track.

the wider tech house circuit picked them up around the same time. they appear on materialism's wmc 2020 compilation dated 13 march 2020, on kittball's konspiracy series on 28 december 2023, and on lapsus music's talents series on 26 january 2024.

2026 has kept them busy. Groove In arrived on be one records on 15 may 2026, the Tough Art Moods ep, made with rapham, came out on mood child on 5 june 2026, and Good Trees, cut with neco, followed on bdv records on 17 july 2026. Celebrations is dated 21 august 2026 on house of hustle.
