The Jungle Giants

🧃 vibes brisbane indie band turned dance

four of them, out of brisbane since 2011, and they all went to the same high school. Sam Hales sings, writes and produces the records, Cesira Aitken on lead guitar, Andrew Dooris on bass, Keelan Bijker on drums.

they started as a guitar band and did not stay one. Quiet Ferocity in 2017 got called dance rock and put four tracks in the hottest 100 that year. "Heavy Hearted" came eighth in 2019. by Love Signs in 2021 they were an electro-pop act, and that one went to number one in australia.

the connection to this page is more direct than it looks. Sam Hales was a member of Confidence Man, producing under a pseudonym, before leaving to focus here.

Experiencing Feelings of Joy, their fifth, came out in may 2026 after he came through a bad injury and a long stretch of not being able to work.

I'd overextended and kind of cooked it, but I really found myself. That's where the joy comes from, having this unwavering hope even after experiencing adversity.
