Shermanology

either lane the netherlands and curaçao soulful house to tech house

Andy Sherman and Dorothy Sherman are brother and sister, which is rare enough in house music, and they have been one act for a long time. they moved to curaçao at the ages of twelve and fourteen. before shermanology existed they were singing backing vocals together, and at fifteen and seventeen they started an r&b group with a cousin called triple s.

the industry found them as guest vocalists first. by 2011 they were singing on big dutch dance records, including afrojack's Can't Stop Me, and that is how most people heard the name.

Everything we do is based on feeling. Our production, songwriting, harmonies, it's all done by ear. It might not always be technically perfect, but it has to feel good.

dorothy's voice is the thing the whole project is built around. it is what separates them from every producer duo working the same tempo, and it is why a shermanology record can go soulful or go hard without sounding like two different acts.

in april 2021 they launched their own label, D'EAUPE. Boyz N Da Club landed on it that same month, on 30 april 2021, and annie mac gave it hottest record in the world on BBC radio 1. the label has carried most of their output since.

the two records that travel furthest are collaborations. It's A Killa, made with FISHER for his catch & release label, came out on 11 march 2022. Hotter, cut with Green Velvet for nervous records, followed on 4 july 2025.

summer 2026 keeps them moving. they play defected's thursday residency at chinois in ibiza on 20 august 2026, alongside d stone, eliza rose, kilimanjaro and lloyd nwagboso. on 12 september 2026 they are on the bill at a day at the park in the kralingse bos in rotterdam. RA also lists them at madam in amsterdam on 7 august 2026 and at defected in malta on 1 october 2026.
