Odd Mob

🚧 bumpy brisbane bass + tech house

Harry Hope, out of redland bay on moreton bay, now up the road on the gold coast. it started as a duo with Robbie Jacobs, who left in 2017. "Is It a Banger?" got him to number 70 in the triple j hottest 100 back in 2014.

"LEFT TO RIGHT" is the one that went global, and it began as a joke. he made it as a bootleg on a twitch stream, flipping Soulja Boy's "Crank That." then Dom Dolla, five entries up this page, played it at red rocks.

Next thing you know, Disclosure is in my DMs, Diplo's giving the track a spin, and Dom's sharing requests for it from heaps of the biggest DJs in the world.

tone deaf, 18 august 2022

"Losing Control" with OMNOM went to number one on beatport in 2023, out on John Summit's Experts Only. the two of them also run HYPERBEAM together as a separate act. Oddities is his bootleg and edit series, not a label.

I get so much joy out of making new sounds and having that feeling that you've made something that might not have ever been heard before.
