Max Dean

🚧 bumpy london house

london, and the hub of a small family operation. his cousin Luke Dean is below on this page and his younger brother joss dj s too, and all three are on the roster of the label max started.

that label is neXup recz, which opened in october 2023 with a various artists compilation called NX-GEN and now carries julian fijma, ALISHA, locky, robbie doherty, tommy phillips, obskür and cam stockman among others. two of those names are elsewhere on this page.

the record that raised him was Reckless (2024), a rework of azari & III made with the group themselves and out on positiva in june 2024. the record that broke him was Can't Decide, made with locky and luke dean, out on nexup through FFRR in may 2025. mall grab and mj cole both remixed it, and in december 2025 it was voted best track of the year at dj mag's best of british awards.

Music-wise, I wouldn't say we are going for a strict sound, just good music that is current and represents and highlights the artists who release with us.

max dean to electronic groove, 13 december 2023

2026 has been remixes as much as originals. jamie jones reworked his Gets Like That in april, and he has turned in remixes for timbaland and for joe rolét on hot creations. he has also released on solid grooves raw, eastenderz and repopulate mars.

he plays creamfields on friday 28 august on the nexup stage, back to back with luke dean, and again at reading the next day. on halloween he brings nexup to the warehouse project in manchester, which has already sold out.
