a chicago duo, Via Rosa on vocals and Na'el Shehade on production, together since 2014 out of the thempeople collective. their own site sums it up in four words: happy sad music handmade in chicago.

ghostly international signed them in 2019 and put out Dance Without Me the following february. the record that travelled furthest is You've Done Enough, made with Gorgon City in january 2021, and they have two more with gorgon city, Nobody on realm in 2020 and Lost & Found in 2023.

the house credentials go deeper than a feature credit. in december 2022 they remixed Love Is Love for ten city, the chicago house institution, blending via rosa's vocal into byron stingily's original. tensnake remixed their Don't Hold Back in 2021, and in 2026 azzecca and emmaculate both turned up on the Platonic Romance remix package.

Whether you have two people in the crowd or 3,000 people in the crowd, you have to perform at your best.

they now run their own label, DRAMA MUSIC, which put out the Platonic Romance album on 9 january 2026, and in july they opened a second imprint for the club side of what they do, with DRAMA club: Noche as its first release. they played the do lab stage at coachella in april, as a dj set.

this autumn they are opening for SOFI TUKKER on the animal talk run, at the greek theatre in los angeles on 19 september, rbc amphitheatre in toronto on the twenty sixth and cow palace in daly city on 24 october. crssd in san diego on 27 september sits in the middle of it, with Chris Lake and Disclosure.
