dennis quin bought his first vinyl in amsterdam in 1992, riding his bike to the shop in the years when the city's distribution scene was pulling in the best of the uk and the us. he was too young for roxy, but the nights he spent at club it between 1994 and 1999 are what he points at when asked where his sound came from. he teaches at the herman brood academy alongside the touring, and beatport files him under bass driven house that moves between tech house and deep house.

If I had to choose, I prioritise the drums. I worked more than 12 years to get my drums and kicks sounding the way they do now.

the record that travelled furthest is You Are In My System, his rework with kerri chandler and troy denari, out on kaoz theory on 15 september 2023. he built it for his own sets from an acapella troy denari handed him around 2017, rewrote the drums and bassline around it inside two weeks, and only put it out after kerri chandler started playing it next to the original. he has also released through defected, solid grooves, piv and you&me records, and in february 2026 he took The Mindshaker ep to heavy house society, the label run by Sidney Charles. he has said he sends finished tracks to a small circle for feedback before they go anywhere, and named Chris Stussy among the people he trusts with that.

he opened EARDRUMS in amsterdam with The Liberation ep on 13 june 2025, after testing the idea on a smaller imprint called dq music. the label page keeps its promise to one line: timeless house music influenced by the uk, the us and the netherlands, no hype, just pure quality. Rock & Rule ep followed on 17 october 2025 on vinyl and digital. he also runs QuINvites, a party series built on expected and unexpected b2b and b3b sets, which ran five editions in the netherlands before its london debut at xoyo on 19 april 2025.

he plays both nights of you&me at depot mayfield in manchester, josh baker's showcase inside the warehouse project season, on friday 2 october 2026 and saturday 3 october 2026. the friday bill also carries Josh Baker, Prospa, Carlita, Julian Fijma, Marsolo and Stef Davidse. the saturday adds Dennis Cruz, Seth Troxler, Sidney Charles, Jamback, M-High and Job de Jong. resident advisor also lists him at xoyo in london on 19 september 2026 and at maassilo in rotterdam on 31 october 2026.
