born in boston in 1970 to an indo father and a mother of french and lebanese descent. his dad was in the air force, so he grew up across the netherlands, turkey and italy. drum machine at thirteen, dj-ing at fifteen, and out of a day job by 1991.

"Witch Doktor" got into the billboard dance top five in 1994. then in 1997 his remix of Tori Amos, "Professional Widow", went to number one in the uk, and he was reportedly paid around ten thousand dollars for it. two years later "You Don't Know Me" with Duane Harden did it again under his own name.

in 2009 "Bonkers" with Dizzee Rascal took him to number one a third time, and it is still his most-streamed record. that same year he started Duck Sauce with A-Trak, which gave the world "Barbra Streisand" and a grammy nomination.

thirty-something years in and he is still working. Glitterbox at Amnesia on fridays this season, "You" with Mark Knight and D. Ramirez on Toolroom in february, and a set of self-reworks on Southern Fried in may. creamfields on the arc stage at the end of august.
